ABOUT NICOTRA LAW
Meet Rachel Nicotra
Ms. Nicotra, our firm’s principal mediator and attorney, and mediator, has an extensive background in general civil litigation with a focus in employment law. She regularly resolves matters dealing with federal and state anti-discrimination laws (Title VII, Americans with Disabilities Act, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, New York State and City Human Rights Laws) and wage and hour laws (Fair Labor Standards Act, Family Medical Leave Act, New York Labor Law), and has successfully represented clients in jury trials, administrative hearings and mediations. Ms. Nicotra also has wide-ranging experience drafting and negotiating employment agreements and counseling employers, small businesses, startups and entrepreneurs.
Ms. Nicotra, a certified mediator, uses her extensive knowledge of employment law, experience representing both employees and employers, and keen listening abilities to assist parties in reaching amicable settlements. In addition to providing private mediation services, Ms. Nicotra serves as a mediator for the Southern, Eastern and Northern District of New York, the Commercial Division, the 3rd Judicial District and the Appellate Division 2nd Department.
